A Comedy Served Ten Ways
By: Don Zolidis Directed by: Elizabeth Evans and Paige Perry Produced by: Lyons Community Theatre (LCT)
Mission Statement
LCT exists to establish and promote live theater and other performing arts in order to contribute to the quality of life in Lyons and to build community in doing so.
Values Statement
Lyons Community Theatre (LCT) brings people together through the shared joy of storytelling, creativity, and community connection. As a locally rooted, volunteer-powered organization, we create space for residents of all ages and backgrounds to participate in every aspect of theater—from performing and directing to building sets and supporting behind the scenes.
Our mission is to strengthen community bonds, celebrate local talent, and make the performing arts accessible, inclusive, and welcoming for all. Through engaging productions, hands-on learning opportunities, and meaningful collaborations, LCT provides a place where friendships are formed, creativity flourishes, and everyone has a role to play.
We believe that theater should reflect the heart of our town—bold, compassionate, connected, and deeply human.
About the Show
Written by Don Zolidis, 10 Ways to Survive the Holidays offers a series of comedic vignettes, each focusing on a different aspect of the season.
With sharp wit and plenty of physical comedy, the characters find themselves caught in the humorous whirlwind of seasonal stress, trying everything from surviving awkward family dinners to dealing with the dreaded office holiday party. And what would Christmas be without a visit from the Grinch, Scrooge, and Santa himself, as well as some very unexpected visitors?
Whether you’re fighting for parking spots at the mall or trying to keep your holiday spirit intact amidst a sea of tinsel and turkey, this show offers a lighthearted reminder that laughter can be the best remedy for holiday stress.
