Youth Program
Teen Aerial and Circus Classes
The Roustabout Youth Program offers structured teen aerial and circus classes in Denver for students ages 12–17 who are ready to train with purpose, challenge themselves, and grow in a supportive, encouraging environment. Students train across aerial apparatus including lyra, trapeze, aerial silks, and sling, alongside dance and acrobatics.
Our philosophy is simple: young circus artists are capable of more than they're often given credit for. We believe that when expectations are clear, coaching is thoughtful, and students feel genuinely supported, they'll rise to meet the challenge.
Our curriculum is designed to develop confident, well-rounded circus artists through technical training, strength and conditioning, artistry, and performance experience. Classes are intentionally structured to challenge students, build resilience, celebrate effort, and provide individualized feedback.
Teen Aerial & Dance, Ages 12–17
Saturdays at 11:30
Our dedicated youth aerial class rotates through lyra, trapeze, silks, sling, and dance (ballet, pom, contemporary, jazz, and modern), giving teen students a well-rounded foundation across apparatus and movement styles.
Drop-in: $32/class, or included with a Founders All-Access Membership.
Straps + Foundations (All Ages)
Thursdays at 4PM
A weekly class for aerialists ages 12+ looking to build strength and conditioning while developing intermediate and advanced rope technique. Each 90-minute class opens with 30 minutes of straps conditioning, followed by 60 minutes of rope technique, skills, and progressions adapted to each student's level. No prior rope experience is required, but students should already have a strong foundation on a vertical apparatus such as silks or rope — this is not a beginner class.
Drop-in: $32/class, or included with a Founders All-Access Membership.
Acrobatics Foundations Series (All Ages)
Wednesdays at 4 PM, starting in October
A 5-class progressive series combining handstand training with floor acrobatics — cartwheels, bridges, shoulder rolls, handstand progressions, walkovers, acro dance, and the strength and mobility to support them. Each class builds on the last, with conditioning, mobility work, and individualized coaching for all skill levels.
$200 for the full series. This specialty series is not included in All-Access Memberships; active members receive 10% off registration. Register here for the series.
Classes marked All Ages are open to adults and teens ages 12+. Teen students are expected to participate with the maturity, independence, and focus appropriate for an adult training environment. Participation in an all-ages class is a privilege, and students who are unable to meet these expectations may be asked to move to a teen-specific class.
